Before The Turkey: 44th Annual Lenny & Joe’s Madison Turkey Trot

MADISON, CT —The 44th annual Lenny & Joe’s Madison Turkey Trot is set for Thanksgiving Day at 10 am, well before any turkey consumption because for some, a nap is often in order.

This year’s Turkey Trot is dedicated to two-term Madison Jaycee President Dave Parcells who passed away suddenly in April 2007. He’s described by the Jaycees as a “loving and extremely involved father to his two children, a tremendous leader, fundraiser, and an inspiration to everyone he met.”

Parcells was also the oldest person to swim an English Channel double-crossing, raising hundreds of thousands of dollars to benefit local charities,” the Jaycees said. “Dave touched and inspired the lives of everyone he knew, and will be deeply missed.”
