Betty Schripsema: What Kenosha needs | Voice Of The People

Kenosha City leaders and residents want to consider Kenosha a progressive city. What does that mean?

Bringing in new companies and industries seems to be the priority for our executives. This is critical to the city’s growth, but what other factors consider new and current residents to be progressive?

I want lots of trees to be kept in quiet areas and not leveled to build another gas station or car wash. For our children I want more playgrounds similar to the Dream Playground (see Chicago). I want grocery stores in areas that are food deserts. I want the aging parts of our city to receive the same attention as downtown and the suburbs.

Betty Schripsema, Kenosha
