Big Brothers Big Sisters by NE WI hosted on March 13th | WFRV Local 5

GREEN BAY, Wisconsin (WFRV) – Northeast Wisconsin’s Big Brothers Big Sisters (BBBSNEW) have announced their first fundraiser for Fun for Kids’ Sake.

According to a press release, attendees will have the opportunity to test their skills in games and activities, and enjoy winter-themed refreshments while enjoying a safe afternoon outdoors.

Birthday cards for World War II veterans from Green Bay turning 100

BBBSNEW says they are working with locations in Brown and Shawano counties to start this family-friendly event.

The non-profit organization has announced that its event will begin on March 13th from 11:00 am to 4:00 pm at the Barkhausen Waterfowl Preserve

A week later, on March 20th, Fun for Kids’ Sake will be in Franklin Park from 12pm to 4pm

The New London Public Museum reopens

From bowling, golf, and soccer toss to STEM crafts and antlers ring, the organization says these events will have something for everyone.

Families can end their visit by having their picture taken with a larger than life bear display or school mascot.

The organization says anyone who attends can expect a free drink, snack pack, and face mask.

In addition to the event dates, BBBSNEW is holding a week-long online auction with items from Brown, Door and Shawano.

The auction will go live on March 12th, will run until March 21st and is open to the public.

Some of the prices include:

  • a jersey signed by Aaron Jones with a framed Green Bay packer
  • 18 hole round of golf for four including a cart at Horseshoe Bay Gulf Club
  • a pontoon boat rental on Shawano Lake with American Marine & Motorsports
  • a helicopter ride with the Jet Air Group
