1955-2021

Craig Alan Schnaare, 66 years old, of Deerbrook, WI, died at his home on April 11, 2021. He was born on January 28, 1955 in Kenosha to Gene and Rose (Pechura) Schnaare.

Craig graduated from Bradford High School in Kenosha with the 1973 class. He owned and operated Schnaares Auto Service in Kenosha for 30 years. In 2006 he moved to Elcho, WI, and was currently employed by the Langlade County Humane Society.

Craig was a fan of the St. Louis Cardinals and enjoyed fishing and wildlife.

The survivors include his children: Matthew (Anne) Schnaare from Marshall, Mich, Benjamin (Amanda) Schnaare from Racine, and Elizabeth (Chris) Summer from Racine; Grandchildren: Phoebe Schnaare and Charlotte, Daphne and Evelyn Schnaare; special friend, Donna Hatfield of Deerbrook; a sister-in-law, Sandra Schnaare von Racine; his ex-wife Roberta Hawley from Kenosha; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Gene Schnaare, Jr.

A memorial service will be held on Friday, April 16, 2021 at 2:00 p.m. at the Bradley Funeral Home in Antigo, WI. The tour takes place on Friday from 12:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. Instead of flowers, monuments in Craig’s name may be directed to the Langlade County Humane Society, 2204 Clermont Street Antigo, WI 54409.
