Two Milwaukee men were arrested Thursday evening October 14th after police chase and an accident on the south side of the city.

Just before 8 p.m., according to the Milwaukee Police Department, officers discovered the suspect’s car was driving too fast near the 9th and Oklahoma. When the officers tried to stop the car, the driver drove away.

The chase ended near 11. and Becher when the suspect’s car ran over a red light at the junction of Becher and Windlake. The suspect’s car crashed into another car, causing it to roll on its side and then hit another car. There were people in both cars hit.

After a brief chase, the driver of the fleeing vehicle, an 18-year-old, was arrested. A 22-year-old passenger was also arrested. It turned out that the car was stolen.

Charges will be forwarded to the Milwaukee County District Attorney’s Office in the coming days, police said.
