Notable Neighbor Madison Mace: nurse, beauty queen and four-wheeler racer | Local News

There were about 10 girls in my department and probably 60 or 70 in total. Cosmos has been around for a long time in many other countries, but it’s only just beginning to take off in the United States. With COVID-19, the numbers have decreased, but they are increasing again. In one of the other countries they gave their winner a car or something similar. They really give everything with prices in the other systems. I think it will be just as big here in the next few years. They keep making the pricing package bigger.

I had heard of Cosmos for several years before I ever competed. I heard there was a state competition going on last February, so I entered. I won the state title and then went to the Nationals.

I also went to New York Fashion Week. I would never have left if Cosmos hadn’t given me the opportunity to go. We actually got to work with a really renowned designer, Cesar Solorzano, and model his clothes and stuff. I have to walk the catwalk. It was a lot of fun.

Certain systems have a main platform that they want to support, but Cosmos lets you bring in your own. All of our platforms are different. The platform I created is called GLAM.

GLAM stands for Girls Learning Advocacy Matters, and I started doing it because when I was a child I rode four-wheelers, which is a very unconventional sport for women. I was picked pretty badly because I was the only woman and man who thought I shouldn’t be competing against them in a class. I started so that girls could learn to stand up for themselves. When I was younger, I had wonderful female role models who showed me, “Hey, don’t let me tell you this. Stand up for yourself and be proud of what you do. ”This is my goal so that other women and men do not feel this way, especially when they are in an area that is dominated by the opposite sex.
