MADISON – Terry A. Huxtable, age 84, passed away on Wednesday, Aug. 24, 2022. He was born in Madison, Wis., on July 24, 1938, the son of Spencer and Audrey (Thompson) Huxtable. Terry was married to Marilyn (Govier) Huxtable for 49 years. They raised three boys and enjoyed time with their granddaughters.

Terry attended Central High School, graduating in 1956. He then entered the US Navy for a three-year term, where he learned Data Processing skills. Upon completion of his service, he utilized those skills for a career in Data Processing, initially with the State Department of Public Welfare (Health and Social Services), Department of Taxation (Revenue) and the University of Wisconsin-Extension and later with Seneca Foods Corporation of Janesville, where he retired after 18 years of service.

Terry loved Madison. Outside of his service in the Navy, he lived in the Madison area his whole life. Terry loved to travel, visiting all seven continents. He and Marilyn joined many tours with Butch and Joyce Butler, Theater Bus excursions and Badger Bus mystery trips. He was also a good storyteller, using experiences from his travels as content for his many stories.

Terry is survived by his sons, Doug (Sue) Huxtable, Jeff (Kathy) Huxtable and Brian (Kate) Huxtable; his granddaughters, Natalie, Megan, Rebecca and Sarah; and his sister, Patricia Huxtable. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife brother, Ronald Olson; and half-brother, Richard Huxtable.

A visitation will be held at GUNDERSON EAST FUNERAL AND CREMATION CARE, 5203 Monona Drive, Madison, from 3 pm until 6 pm on Sunday, August 28, 2022. A private funeral service will be held. Online condolences may be made at www.gundersonfh.com.
