Elizabeth “Betty” VanCampenhout, born on March 31, 1934 and passed away on June 22, 2022. Betty was the daughter of the late Francis VanDeHey and Mabel (Kropp) VanDeHey. She had two infant siblings Ruth and Victor that preceded her in death. Betty resided most of her young life in Oneida and then moved to Green Bay where she attended St. Joseph Academy. On August 14, 1951 she married Edward “Eddie” VanCampenhout. They celebrated 60 years of marriage before his passing in November 2011. Together they raised (five) children: Diane (Kal) Kerlin, Debra Case, Michael VanCampenhout, Mark (Ellen) VanCampenhout, and Edward (Linda) VanCampenhout. They had (eight) grandchildren: Gina Dufek (Brad Fille), Jessie Lemmen, Michael (Abby) Case, Kelly Case (Bill Robertson), Ryan (Cassie) VanCampenhout, Paul VanCampenhout, Jake VanCampenhout, and Alex VanCampenhout. They also had (eight) great-grandchildren: Bobby, Quinn, Chloe, Mark, Carly, Autumn, Jamie, and Ayden. Betty enjoyed the trailer in Crivitz. She taught many grandkids to play cards. With lots of love she made many loaves of banana bread, caramels, fudge and scotcharoos. Betty spent many hours knitting slippers for her family and friends. She never turned down a Seroogy’s chocolate melt-a-way. Betty was preceded in death by many other family members, friends, and family dogs and “grand” dogs. A special “thank you” to all that assisted with Mom’s care and especially Amber from Heartland Hospice. The matriarch of our family may be gone but the precious family memories will live on forever in our hearts. We love you and will miss you Mom and “Uma”. Family and friends can celebrate Betty’s life on Thursday, June 30, 2022 from 9:00 to 11:00 am at St. Agnes Catholic Church (1484 Ninth Street) with Father Patrick Beno and Deacon Greg Rotherham officiating. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 am Burial will take place following the service at Fort Howard Cemetery, Green Bay.
