The best tool to determine your fertility window

Proov Announces 4th Patent to identify the Fertile Window– Proov, a diagnostics company offering medical grade at-home tests and a platform for support, is announcing today that it has received patent issue notification for its fourth utility patent. It includes progesterone (or PdG) testing via urine tests, a method for identifying the fertile window through testing PdG along with other hormones as well as a multi-hormone test which includes the testing of PdG and one or more other hormones associated with the menstrual cycle.

Progesterone is a vital hormone produced by the ovary following ovulation. One of the primary roles of progesterone is the preparation of the uterine lining to allow for implantation. If there isn’t enough progesterone following the ovulation period, it could be difficult to get implantation properly occur.

Prior to Proov’s offerings, the only FDA-cleared urine PdG test – no diagnostic test could confirm successful Ovulation. Successful ovulation is defined as sustained high PdG levels throughout the implantation period and provides the greatest chance of getting pregnant. Proov’s 4th patent adds to Proov’s leading patent portfolio that covers the testing of PdG in urine of women. This patent safeguards the system that allows for home testing that can identify both PdG and the luteinizing hormone (LH) and also provide users with protection when displaying results for PdG and LH tests using an external device that has a graphical user interface. The new patent encompasses the measurement of follicle-stimulating hormones (FSH), estrogen, LH, and progesterone markers in urine to identify the fertile window in women. Proov continues to lead the development of at-home hormone testing technologies to empower women, and has many additional related technologies covered by patent applications that are pending.
