Virginia L. Hill, age 75, passed away on Tuesday, January 17, 2023. Virginia was born on November 21, 1947, to the late Jewett (Sonny) and Doris (Broche) Huff in Alton, IL. She married the late James N. Hill on September 21, 1969, in Bethalto, IL. Together they shared 16 years of marriage. After retiring from Tecumseh Products Company, Virginia rediscovered her passion for homemaking and enjoyed sewing, quilting, and keeping her space clean and organized. She had an impressive collection of Grandma sweatshirts in her closet and ice cream flavors in her freezer. As a life-long Baptist, she was really happy to find and join the Highland Crest Baptist Church congregation when she moved to Green Bay to be closer to her daughters and grandchildren. She is survived by two daughters: Elizabeth (Tim) Derozier; Leah (Paul) Mashl; her grandchildren: Camryn Derozier (special friend Sadie); Juan Mashl; Riley Derozier and River Derozier; her siblings: Ross (Pat) Huff; Brian (Sue) Huff and her sister-in-law Florence (Ed) Giles. Virginia was preceded in death by her parents Sonny & Doris Huff and her husband James. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, January 26, 2023, at 11:30 am at Highland Crest Baptist Church, 1830 Military Avenue, Green Bay. Visitation will occur from 10:00 am until the time of service at 11:30 am Burial will take place at Roselawn Memory Gardens in Bethalto, IL on Monday, January 30th.
