Hagemann
Ms. Jean Hagemann from Racine celebrated her 90th birthday at a gala event held in her honor at Stuart McBride Park in Mount Pleasant. 7. Extended family and friends enjoyed sharing stories and celebrating jeans 90 years.
The former Jean Fergus was born in Racine on April 21, 1931.
She married Eugene Hagemann on July 2, 1949 in Racine. He died on June 13th, 2009.
Mrs. Hagemann, housewife, likes to sew and bake. She is an accomplished seamstress and said, “I’ve never been as happy as I was sewing.” Their baking is legendary, especially their strawberry and rhubarb cake and their cowboy coffee cake.
Mrs. Hagemann is a member of the Catholic Church of St. Edward and the Altar Congregation. She loved making prayer shawls and attended book clubs. Ms. Hagemann is a member of the Boy Scout Group No. 1934.
She has six children: Terry (the late John) Graham of Yellow Springs, Ohio; Paul (Karen) from Hurley; Phil (Ryen) of Racine; Dona (Bob) VanCaster of Hustisford; and Margo (Joe) Wiesner of Franksville; and the late John Hagemann. Mrs. Hagemann has 13 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
