A state appeals court has sided with the city on the disciplinary punishment of a Green Bay police officer.

Officer Andrew Weiss got into trouble because he accessed information about two sexual assault investigations he was not involved in and then passed that information on to someone outside the department. He and the Green Bay Professional Police Association appealed a court decision that upheld his discipline.

A referee had determined that Weiss had to be removed from his position as a detective and reassigned to the patrol department.
