A press release said the empty site would be converted into a 12,000-square-foot dog walk with a publicly accessible Riverwalk extension. Suggested features of the GRAEF-designed park include separate small and large dog areas, artificial turf with irrigation to ensure cleanliness, water stations, agility stations, public art, and opportunities for community programs and celebrity donor recognition.

The donation categories on the project’s website vary widely to accommodate all levels of support, with some of the categories going along with Dog Park Swag and local donor recognition. Donations over $ 2,500 can be coordinated directly through Milwaukee Downtown, Inc. All donations will support the advance development, construction, maintenance and operation of the dog park in the city center.
