Family and friends mourn the loss of Racine’s wife who was found shot dead at home

RACINE, Wisconsin (CBS 58) – The grieving family and friends of a murdered bartender pray that the Racine police will find the person responsible.

Becky Rannow didn’t show up for work at Junction Pub & Grill exactly a week ago.

The next day, Racine police were asked to conduct a social screening and found her dead in her home with multiple gunshot wounds.

“I had no words. I couldn’t breathe. I got physically ill,” said Amanda Gonzales, friend.

This is how friends felt when they found out that Becky Rannow, who lived for 41 years to make people happy, is dead.

“She was a total sucker, on my worst days she could make me laugh,” said Gonzales.

Rannow had been an educator in Racine for years. Friends say she was a person who loved to play darts.

“No matter what she went through, she was always happy,” said friend Olga Sanchez.

Friends and family say Rannow had suffered some severe blows lately while escaping an abusive relationship.

Her brother changed locks in the Racine house that the couple shared. Then her grandmother died.

“They took someone from us who had a heart of gold,” said Sanchez.

Rannow was found dead in the house on Edgewood.

Her pit bull was locked in a room and family members say it appeared Becky let her killer in.

Now ask if you know something, say something.

“She needs justice. She’s just too good of a person. said Brother Anthony Rannow.

Anthony and Becky were only two years apart. The memories carry him through this difficult time.

“We sang in the car the whole time. We sang in the shop in the middle of Walmart. We just sang. It was one of our things. We were both so weird, ”said Antonius.

A Celebration of Life will be held at Fountain Hall in Sturtevant on September 5th.

There is a gofundme to help with their funeral expenses.
