Fear The Walking Dead season 8’s first look clip sees Madison Clark (Kim Dickens) trapped by agents of the mysterious group known as PADRE.
A first-look clip for Fear the Walking Dead sees Madison Clark trapped. The Walking Dead spinoff debuted in 2015 and centered on the blended Clark family as they attempted to survive the initial zombie outbreak that ravaged the world. As the show continued, members of the family died off and new characters were introduced, including a few from the main The Walking Dead series. It was recently announced that Fear the Walking Dead season 8 will be the show’s last, finishing the show’s eight-year run.
SCREEN VIDEO OF THE DAY
A new clip (via Deadline) gives audiences a first look at Madison (Kim Dickens) in Fear the Walking Dead season 8, showing her trapped in an underground prison cell.
For four seasons Madison kept her daughter Alicia (Alycia Debnam-Carey), and her son Nick (Frank Dillane) alive until she was forced to sacrifice herself to save her children from a zombie horde. Thought dead for years, Madison reappeared in Fear the Walking Dead season 7 as an agent of the mysterious sanctuary community, PADRE.
What to Expect From Madison in Season 8
Fear the Walking Dead season concluded with Morgan Jones (Lennie James) and Madison joining forces as they attempt to retrieve Baby Mo from PADRE. Although not much is known as to how Madison survived season 4’s stadium fire and walker attack, season 7 offered clues in the way of flashbacks as Madison appeared to be interrogated by PADRE and given a new purpose. The first-look clip shows that season 8 will provide more context to her past as the scene is clearly a flashback to her initial period with PADRE.
However, the most intriguing aspect of the clip features one of the PADRE agents rolling up Madison’s sleeve to reveal a bite mark on her arm. However, it appears that the infection has not spread, possibly alluding to an immunity to the virus. If this is the case, Madison would be the first character in The Walking Dead franchise to be immune to the Wildfire Virus. This would also explain why Alicia did not succumb to her sickness when bit by the walker in the underground bunker.
PADRE, suspected to be a former government-run island safe zone off the coast of Louisiana, may provide the answers to many questions about the virus. The first look clip features the PADRE guards taking blood from Madison, likely to study her immunity or even develop a vaccine. With Fear the Walking Dead season 8 set to premiere May 14, audiences must be patient to finally see Madison reunite with Alicia and perhaps hold genetic the key that may decide the fate of the world.
