MADISON, Wis. — Both the City of Madison and Dane County will close non-essential government offices Thursday afternoon and Friday due to the upcoming winter storm.
The county is closing non-essential operations at 2 pm Thursday through the end of Friday. Essential services will still operate, the county said.
The city is also closing offices at 2 pm Thursday through Friday. Staff members will still be responding to phone calls and emails remotely, the city said. City offices were already set to be closed on Monday and will reopen on Tuesday.
Trash and recycling collection in Madison are also being suspended on Friday. Residents who were scheduled to have trash or recycling picked up on Friday should put their carts out buy 6:30 am on Monday. For more information, click or tap here.
