Packer blunt ‘Danger!’ Player; Aaron Rodgers channels Ron Burgundy

You can’t make this stuff up.

The guest host of “Jeopardy!” Is the quarterback Aaron Rodgers of Green Bay Packers. He reads this note from the Title Waves category: “In the 1960s, these Midwesterners won 5 NFL championship trophies.”

The answer of the three participants … barbecue.

“Green Bay Packers?” Rodgers said, matching the face and holding out his arms in disbelief.

Erick Loh, the pastor from California, or returning champion Dennis Chase, the originally from Massachusetts-based biotech project manager, or Norah Webster, a meeting planner from Chicago, couldn’t find the answer.

A triple stumper.

(Norah, you were our best hope, if for no other reason than your town’s proximity to Green Bay and the possibility that you might be a bear fan, or almost certainly know some.)

When Loh responded properly to the next tip from the same category about the Boston Celtics, Rodgers couldn’t resist. “Oh, you know that, don’t you?” he quipped.

That Packers moment was the highlight of Tuesday’s show, which was Rodgers’ seventh guest host and his best yet. If he landed the permanent gig, would this be the fun and engaging guy viewers would get?

He’s proven to be particularly nimble with pop culture references throughout his hosting stay (see the Larry David imitation of “Curb Your Enthusiasm” on Night 1 and the mention of Turd Ferguson on Night 2). This time it was a shot of the title character from “Anchorman: The Legend of Ron Burgundy”.

Note: “Despite what Ron Burgundy said, this city is named after a Spanish monk.”

Correct answer: “What is San Diego?”

“San Dee-ah-go,” said Rodgers in his best Burgundian voice, wisely not repeating the whole quote “Discovered by the Germans in 1904 …” from the film.

Later on the show, he was quick again with his mind for a clue about Scott Kelly, the retired astronaut and identical twin brother of Mark Kelly. Rodgers took the opportunity to point out that Mark is a current Senator from Arizona and “once a runner-up” Celebrity Jeopardy! “Finisher.”

Rodgers, of course, defeated Mark Kelly and Kevin O’Leary for his “Celebrity Jeopardy!” in 2015.

Participants’ winnings from the show on Tuesday totaled $ 24,000 for “Jeopardy!” will donate with Rodgers’ selected charity, the North Valley Community Foundation in his hometown of Chico, California.

The subject of Rodger’s favorite game show also surfaced in a new Walt Disney World Minute interview he had with his fiancée, actress Shailene Woodley, of the Grand Floridian Resort & Spa during their recent trip to Disney World.

It was Rodgers ‘first time back at the Magic Kingdom since taking part in a parade to celebrate the Packers’ Super Bowl XLV win.

He and Woodley were asked how they like to rewind after a long day.

“I like a bath and maybe a good glass of wine,” said Woodley.

“I wanted to say cuddle time, but since she went on her own thing, I’ll be ‘Danger! ‘Say. and a glass of scotch, ”Rodgers said.

The couple also talked about their 95-pound German Shepherd, “a lap dog,” much like Goofy, how they often hear the soundtrack “The Lion King” and what Disney movie they get to watch on reruns (“Heavyweights” for Rodgers and ” Avatar “” For Woodley).
