Pregnant Wisconsin woman found stabbed to death

A pregnant woman was found dead in her Racine apartment. Police said they found the victim dead around 5:10 p.m. on Friday. Family members identified her as Vanessa Anderson on Monday. The officers said they were moved to the 1600 block by Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. called Drive. Anderson was a week away from birth by a scheduled caesarean section. Her sister said her unborn baby daughter had also died. Lashunda Anderson said her sister was found naked by her landlord. “There was blood everywhere,” she said. Police said they are investigating Anderson’s death for murder. She was found stabbed. No arrests have been made to date. Police said the investigation was ongoing. Investigators returned to the scene on Monday. They did not post any suspicious information, other details were available. A row of candles lined the sidewalk in front of the house where Anderson had lived for less than two weeks. “It was a lot of new beginnings for her that ended very soon,” said Lashunda Anderson. She was survived by two other daughters. Lashunda Anderson said her sister had received death threats. “She didn’t deserve what happened to her. Nobody deserves this.
