St. Alphonsus Parish is planning to host its first Summer BBQ Picnic | Local News

NEW MUNSTER – St. Alphonsus Parish is planning its first summer BBQ picnic: BBQ, bands and beer.

The event will take place on Sunday, July 11th, 1pm to 5pm at the New Munster Park Pavilion, 6331 341st Ave.

The event will feature live bands such as Relativity, Charley Thornton and others. Food is served from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. or until sold out. Guests are asked to bring their own lounge chairs as there is no seating available at the venue.

Show your furry friends a little attention with these 13 ways to pamper your pet.

The free event is public. Admission to the barbecue lunch – which includes a pulled pork sandwich, mac’n cheese, coleslaw, fries, and dessert – is $ 15 for adults, $ 7 for children under 15, and free for children under 5. Beer, soft drinks, and water are available for purchase. Bushings are available.

“After a long year of canceled events, we decided to have a picnic where we could enjoy live music and hang out with our neighbors and friends,” said Rev. Arthur Mattox. “What could be nicer than a barbecue, bands and a cold drink on a beautiful summer day? Except for the fair, of course! “
