At least 500 vehicles were served an assortment of free groceries from a semi-trailer parked on the Carthage College campus Wednesday. Volunteers were busy loading items in the south parking lot near the football field on college campus starting at 1 p.m. after Gordon Food Service donated items for free distribution to the Kenosha County Food Bank, which held the event on Wednesday. The food service company had closed a surplus of items and restaurants and businesses that would normally serve them after the COVID-19 hit.
