Milwaukee Wave stunned in Dallas

Fresh from their first win of the season against the Chihuahua Savage on Friday night, Jan. 14 at the UW-Milwaukee Panther Arena, the Milwaukee Wave looked to carry that momentum to Dallas on Sunday afternoon and were stunned by a sidekicks win from behind.

The first half featured a collective defensive effort for Milwaukee as several Wave players intervened to clear several balls off the line that could have gotten Dallas going.

While the Wave was able to offer a lot of defensive solidity in the first half, the second half was a shootout as the sidekicks were able to put more pressure on the Wave defense and take advantage of the sixth attacker late in the contest.

It was an unlucky handball from outside the box by goalkeeper Matt Perrella that allowed the sidekicks to equalize in the final two minutes of the game. Shortly thereafter, it was another sidekicks goal that finally put them ahead of Milwaukee for the rest of the game.
