Racine Heritage Walking Tours continued Saturday | Local News I Racine County Eye

RACINE – The Racine Heritage Museum’s Heritage Walking Tours return this Saturday after being canceled in 2020. Tours run until September 11th at 10:30 am and 1:00 pm on Saturdays in rain or shine.

Details about the tour

The Heritage Walking Tour is a 90-minute guided tour of downtown Racine, the lakefront, and the Root River Valley. Visitors learn more about the founding of the city in 1834 by Captain Gilbert Knapp and its rich and storied history of industry, architecture, immigration and abolition.

Tours start and end on the front steps of the Racine Heritage Museum (RHM), 701 Main St. Tour tickets are $ 15 per person (discounts for RHM members). Advance reservations are required. The Heritage Walking Tour is not recommended for children under 12 years of age.
