Kindness Week continues Monday with King Day program; Tuesday event canceled | Local News

A busy list of Kindness Week programs, some virtual and some in-person, launches in Kenosha today with the Dr. Congregation’s Martin Luther King Jr. Day program continued.

Gateway Technical College will be livestreaming its annual MLK celebration but will not open the event for in-person attendance.

The event is scheduled to take place from 12:00 p.m. to 1:00 p.m. today.

The surge in COVID-19 numbers has prompted college officials to hold the event online only. This year’s humanitarians and event attendees will be the only ones on site at the event.

Soloist Rickey Powell’s “Busy Day – A One Man Show” program, scheduled to take place Tuesday at the Gateway Technical College-Madrigrano Auditorium, has been cancelled.
