MADISON – When they met in November this year, members of the Madison Catholic Woman’s Club launched support for the Little Drummer Project of the Society of St. Vincent de Paul-Madison.
The Little Drummer Project provides Christmas gifts each year to the children of approximately 200 needy families in Dane County who were attended at home by one of the local St. Vincent de Paul conferences.
Club members donated money or bought gift cards for specific stores and added a range of soft toys to the gift cards to brighten up the children’s Christmas party.
The Madison Catholic Woman’s Club unites women in religious, charitable, and civic roles and activities. The club has supported the Madison Society of St. Vincent de Paul financially and in prayer for more than 20 years.
“We remain grateful for the generosity of Madison Catholic Woman’s Club members for their support of this project and the other work we do in the community to provide food, medicine, housing, and more to neighbors in need,” said Ernie Stetenfeld, St Vincent de Paul-Madison CEO and Executive Director.
“I am pleased that many children will enjoy Christmas more because of their friendliness.”
